Establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business Leadership for your assigned commodity / category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have site responsibility for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve lowest Total Cost for your site, reduced Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering and Sole/ Single Source elimination. You will manage Supplier Performance to support your commodity/category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You will be managing several projects in dynamic environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.

We are looking for a EMEA Commodity Manager for XFMRs and Motors Commodities to help us achieve our goals. In this position, you would work within the Honeywell sourcing organization working on strategic procurement initiatives.

You would be responsible to develop, communicate and execute the commodity strategy throughout the organization by planning, organizing, and controlling strategic activities surrounding the acquisition of XFMRs and Motors Commodity including management of key supplier relationships. You would work closely with the Buyers, Operations, Engineering, NPI and Product Management teams as they work to implement Supply Chain Management strategies that are competitive enablers for our business by providing the highest performing and lowest total cost of ownership supply solutions.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing performance, commercial terms and strategic relationships with all suppliers.
  • Development & execution of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) covering productivity, delivery, quality, and lead time improvement for selected commodities
  • Executing successful supplier transitions and implementing consignment, stocking, and 3PL solutions with suppliers to improve overall supply flexibility and responsiveness
  • Maintaining continuous knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and developing technologies
  • Establishing and managing key supplier performance objectives and communicating results to plan
  • Leverage cross Strategic Business Group spend to drive incremental opportunity for all Honeywell businesses
  • Resolving delivery and quality issues through root cause analysis and appropriate supplier escalation
  • Owning all sourcing decisions including supplier evaluations, selections, and competitive bid processes via traditional negotiations and e-Auctions
  • Negotiating supply agreements in support of overall supply chain goals and objectives

    • This position supports key growth initiatives globally, and hence provides significant visibility and growth potential for the right candidate

    25 Assist in Site Tactical Procurement escalations, reconciliations and reporting as required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in XFMRS and Motors Commodities
  • Strong Sourcing & Commodity Management experience
  • Excellent teaming abilities
  • Developed negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and execution
  • CPM and/or APICS certification a plus
  • Engineering background a plus
  • Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrixed organizational environment
