•Leading the new product development from concept, specification, design, simulation and verification to releasing to production.
•Act as mechanical lead in the assigned NPI project to drive all the mechanical related deliverables.
•Responsible for prototype creation, review, and test plan setup and results evaluation
•Responsible for schedule creation and ensuring those projects are completed based on 3-Ons
•Provide technical support to team design engineers and vendor
•Ensuring seamless transfers from design to mass production
•Developing common strategies and IP for housings, assemblies, electromechanical interconnect, and sealing that will drive high levels of reuse across product designs
•Identifying, maturing, and implementing new materials
•Drive technology and products innovation

•Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field, portable product is preferred.
•A minimum of 6 years design engineering experience is a must, previously act as lead mechanical engineer, or has smart phone development experience is preferred
•Experience successfully developing at least 1 product through its full lifecycle
•Familiar with NPI process and project management principles
•Fluent skill in both written and oral English
•3D design tool professional, Pro/E is must
•Knowledge of material and design guidelines for plastic, metal and die cast parts, knowledge on molding structure/fabrication, injection process/defects analysis is plus
•Capable of performing tolerance analysis.
