HGR Strategy Marketing Director, Shanghai, HGR, Corp

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the annual strategic planning process for Honeywell in High Growth Regions (HGRs). Support the President and CEO of HGR and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) defining HGR growth strategies, developing operational plans, and driving implementation.
  • Provide cross-business and cross-divisional leadership in the areas of strategy formulation, country analysis, industry/market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and strategic alliances/partnerships. 
  • Partner with business, marketing and technology leaders across HGRs to identify new growth initiatives, particularly in Software, IIoT and connected technologies, advancing digital transformation in HGRs. 
  • Apply strategic insight and analytical rigor to drive deep-dive market assessments and business case analyses of new, breakthrough growth opportunities and emerging/disruptive industry trends. 
  • Work closely with HGR and global corporate leaders to develop local capabilities in offering management, digital marketing, and commercial excellence. 
  • Support HGR CCO to establish a Management Operating System across the Commercial Excellence & Strategy organization in HGRs, develop the talent pool by leading and participating in related training programs. Provide leadership, guidance and coaching for members of the HGR Strategy & Marketing team.KEY ATTRIBUTES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of post-university work experience, including a combination of corporate strategy/management consulting experience at a top-tier firm, plus at least 3-5 years of “hands-on” operational experience at a global MNC in the industrial and/or high-tech sectors.

Deep emerging market knowledge and hands-on experience highly desired.

Industry knowledge and experience in industrial manufacturing, building automation, aerospace, and/or chemicals sectors; software, IIOT and digital technology exposure a plus.

Operational experience beyond strategy, e.g. prior roles in B2B sales & marketing, business development, and other client-facing organizations would be strongly preferred. Outstanding ability to quickly identify and define business questions and frame key issues

Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including marketing sizing/projection, customer segmentation, financial modeling, scenario planning and assessment, value analysis, etc.

Comfortable managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, while making sound decisions in a highly dynamic environment.

Ability to influence peer group, forge solid relationships across organization, and manage multiple stakeholders.

Highly motivated, assertive, energetic, with superior communication skills.

Demonstrated understanding of local and western business practices, sensible to cultural and societal dynamics.

English and Mandarin fluency is required. Other languages a plus.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Master in Business Administration (MBA) from a leading international business school Undergraduate and/or master’s degree in engineering is highly preferred but not required
