ORGANIZATION & POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position reports into Honeywell’s High Growth Regions business, a global organization and peer group to Honeywell’s 4 Strategic Business Groups . HGR includes 13 priority countries and regions across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and central & Eastern Europe. In total, HGR is projected to account for over 50% of Honeywell’s growth over the next 5 years. The President and CEO of HGR reports directly to Honeywell’s Chairman and CEO, Darius Adamczyk.
The HGR Strategy & Marketing function is part of the HGR Corporate team, which is headquartered in Shanghai, China. It is instrumental in developing and operationalize business strategies to fuel Honeywell’s growth and build capabilities in these rapidly evolving economies.
The China Strategy & Marketing Director will work closely with the China President, China business units and functions within Honeywell, as well as the China SBG strategy & marketing leaders to develop a framework for driving growth initiatives across the company. He/she will have unparalleled exposure to the company’s senior leadership, with a complete view of the entire Honeywell portfolio.
Lead the annual strategic planning process for Honeywell in China. Support China President and local SBG/SBU leaders, defining growth strategies, developing operational plans, and driving implementation.
Provide cross-business and cross-divisional leadership in the areas of strategy formulation, country analysis, industry/market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and strategic alliances/partnerships
Partner with China business, marketing and technology leaders to identify new growth initiatives, particularly in Software, IoT and connected technologies, advancing digital transformation in China.
Apply strategic insight and analytical rigor to drive deep-dive market assessments and business case analyses of new, breakthrough growth opportunities and emerging/disruptive industry trends.
Work closely with local and global leaders to develop local capabilities in offering management, digital marketing, and commercial excellence.
Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for other members of the China Strategy & Marketing team; develop China marketing talent pool by leading and participating in related training programs.

10+ years of post-university work experience, including a combination of corporate strategy/management consulting experience at a top-tier firm, plus at least 3-5 years of “hands-on” operational experience at a global MNC in the industrial and/or high-tech sectors.
Deep China market knowledge with exposure to/prior experience in other emerging market countries highly desired.
Industry knowledge and experience in industrial manufacturing, building automation, aerospace, and/or chemicals sectors; software, IIOT and digital technology exposure a plus.
Operational experience beyond strategy, e.g. prior roles in B2B sales & marketing, business development, and other client-facing organizations would be strongly preferred. Outstanding ability to quickly identify and define business questions and frame key issues
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including marketing sizing/projection, customer segmentation, financial modeling, scenario planning and assessment, value analysis, etc. Comfortable managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, while making sound decisions in a highly dynamic environment.
Ability to influence peer group, forge solid relationships across organization, and manage multiple stakeholders.
Highly motivated, assertive, energetic, with superior communication skills.
Demonstrated understanding of local and western business practices, sensible to cultural and societal dynamics.
English and Mandarin fluency is required. Other languages a plus.
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from a leading international business school Undergraduate and/or master’s degree in engineering is highly preferred but not required
