As our new Resident Application Engineer , you will be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex application functions in the Honeywell Transportation Systems (TS) organization. You will participate in the development and certification of product functionality across multiple programs. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results.
•Customer technical support for turbocharger applications development until start of production
•Main Customer interface for technical project reviews with engineering & other functions
•Collect customer technical requirements to answer request for quotation for new business win
•Write technical offer to match customer requirements including matching, design & materials selection
•Define the Risk Assessment & Validation plan to ensure flawless launch of new products on market
•Definition & tracking of the bill of material, drawings and contractual technical project documentation
•Collaborate with Supply Base, Manufacturing, Quality & Production plant for program launches
•Review the product qualification test plan in agreement with product lines and product assurance
•Pilot design reviews internally and with suppliers for each program before production tools launch
•Pilot engine tests – internal & external – lead the preparation of the hardware, the analysis of test results
•Pilot prototypes technical specifications and follow-up prototypes manufacturing until customer delivery
•Write test reports including performance, mechanical validation & summer tests
•Post Test Analysis of endurance units in development & feedback on issues to Product Line for action plan
•Responsible for the application engineering release
•Identify future customer needs & provide feedback to Product Line for new business opportunities

YOU MUST HAVE
•A Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or/and Thermodynamics
•Strong culture in automotive industry
•Deep knowledge in internal combustion engines & turbochargers
•Deep understanding in thermodynamics & engine performance data analysis
•Experience in Turbocharger Design and FEA /CFD results analysis
•Fluent in German and English. French language appreciated.
•Strong ability to work in a cross-functional Team
•Outstanding communication skills
•Well structured & organized. Ability for priorities management
