The Executive Compensation Leader will partner with the Global Compensation and Benefits Leader to define and execute the executive compensation strategy for the organization.

This role will manage Executive Compensation-related activities for Transportation Systems, including the design and implementation of executive compensation programs for the top executives, the Board of Directors and all long-term incentive participants globally. The Executive Compensation Leader is responsible for providing expertise, as well as project leadership in all aspects of executive compensation including, but not limited to, short and long-term incentive plan design, retention strategies, benchmarking and market data analysis, and keeping leadership advised relevant trends and best practices. A candidate for this role should be detail oriented to ensure accuracy, but also have the ability and business acumen to develop and present recommendations at a level suitable for the audience.

* COMPETENCIES REQUIRED *

  • Executive or Global Compensation experience required, preferably including a working knowledge of technical areas impacting executive compensation (equity compensation, market pricing, trends and accounting).
  • Ability to: Influence peers as well as senior management, take ownership of responsibilities and work in a self-directed environment, manage multiple priorities, communicate well orally and in writing, analyze data, draw conclusions and make a compelling case for recommendations, handle ambiguity
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
  • Sensitivity to customer needs with good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong accuracy.
  • Strong project management, analytical skills and business acumen

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required. Additional formal education (MBA, MS) is preferred.
  • Broad executive compensation and HR experience.
  • International executive compensation experience preferred.
  • Expertise and practical experience in applied compensation principles, methods and tools including: market analysis, compensation program design, development, and implementation, variable pay, salary planning, acquisitions, and alternative reward design techniques is required.
  • Knowledge of SEC and IRS regulations impacting Executive Compensation is required.
  • History of quickly acclimating to cross-functional team as this role will work closely with Finance, Tax and Legal departments.
