This leadership position drives program development, growth, execution and performance within the TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance Systems product lines.The ideal candidate has a commitment to aviation safety, technical and professional excellence, a commitment to customer satisfaction and growth, demonstrates leadership and delivers on results, has a global mindset and is able to foster teamwork and diversity, demonstrates personal and professional integrity, has strong oral and written communication skills, is able to work across functional boundaries at multiple levels, and can establish strong working relationships within internal/external customers and the certification agencies.

This position will be responsible for technical, financial, organizational, and personnel aspects for all initiatives assigned to the TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance Systems organization.Lead a team of Hardware, Software & Systems Technical Managers, along with their staff, and Project Engineers in the prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, to drive overall program performance.Build a world-class global TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance Systems workforce that creates a competitive advantage by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent.Responsible for the TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance systems Global Strategic Framework planning and execution in coordination with Global TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance systems leaders.

40 Set program priorities consistent with CBT/M&PM/CEL expectations

20 Strategy development for TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance Systems in coordination with PAC

10 Early problem detection and course correction

20 Perform HPD, TRRs, MRRs for direct reporting staff

10 Mentor Project Engineers

* YOU MUST HAVE *

  • 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, managing diverse global teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

* WE VALUE *

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certified
  • Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to the TCAS / Traffic and Integrated Surveillance Systems product lines and their application within the Global Business Enterprises
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience including: driving teams to common goals, empowering teams, multi-tasking, managing complex technical issues
  • Demonstrated communication, relationship and team building skills
  • Diverse background in hardware and software certification experience
  • Master of Engineering or Business Administration preferred
  • Action Oriented: Works hard, full of energy; not fearful of acting with best data even if incomplete; seizes opportunities when they arise
  • Dealing with Ambiguity: Can effectively cope with change; decide and act without having the total picture; achieve success despite ambiguity; comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry
  • Command Skills: Rapidly Assesses situation and decides on corrective action response
