Lead Project Engineer

Lead Project Engineers are responsible for execution of all engineering activities for the projects assigned to them within the agreed schedule & budget

·

Works independently & is fully proficient in applying established standards

Should act as technical interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer technical specification requirements

Should be able to Independently carry out Control system Hardware and Software Detail Design, Engineering, Application Development, Testing, Integration of Hardware , FAT with customer , Site Commissioning, system Cut-over’s, Loop Checking

Should be able to develop Functional Design Specification

Should be able to develop Typicals / Templates for Complex Loops and develop project specific standards

Should be able to read, Understand P&IDs, Control Narratives, Logic diagrams, etc.

Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities

Ensures that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to project team

Visit to site to get customer feedback and prepare the site execution methodology with EM and team to ensure timely site closure and LCS handover

Ensure group work in compliance with quality / safety procedures. Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation

Ensure common methods, techniques, tools and products as agreed by the knowledge communities / Process Owner Group (POG) Leaders are being effectively applied and provide feedback for future improvement

Ensures that the implementation of application engineers is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents

Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer by doing thorough quality checks

Provides troubleshooting, maintenance, site support, and corrective actions for technical issues faced by other Engineering Groups

Usage of engineering tools for optimization of Engineering man hours to improve LGM

Conducts contract review with EM/FLM to prepare requirement analysis for the projects.

Ensure skills deployment and knowledge transfer within and across the engineer teams.

  • BE(Instrumentation / Electronics / Electronics & Communication)
  • Process Automation Experience >8yrs
