Honeywell Aerospace creates advanced, specialized UV/optical/infrared instrumentation, such as the Fine Guidance Sensor for the James Webb Space Telescope, the Canadian Electric Fields Instrument on the European Space Agency’s SWARM mission and the Optical Payload for the Sapphire Space Surveillance Mission for the Department of National Defense.

Our highly engaged and integrated engineering team has the need for a senior analog electronics designer to help us conceptualize, design and develop the next, payload products and systems for astronomical research, space surveillance, optical communications and earth observation.

You will be the key technical focal point across Honeywell Aerospace engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our space industry customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence electrical design directions and methodology developments. As an electrical engineering technical expert, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers.

Influence the evolution of work processes and standards to deliver exceptional product quality while minimizing cost and schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE

•Master's Degree in Engineering; In lieu of Master’s degree minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus 7 years experience in the design of low noise analog circuits will be considered

•Minimum 5 years experience in the design of low noise analog circuits

WE VALUE

•Experience with readout electronics for CCD/CMOS sensors and/or Infrared detector arrays would be a significant asset

•Experience with DC power supply circuits and systems

•Experience with mixed signal systems and analog / digital isolation

•Design and layout using Mentor Graphics

•Simulation and Analysis using tools SPICE, MATLAB, or similar.

•Familiarity with space grade components & selection would be an asset.

•Implement Design for Manufacturing and Cost efficiency,

•Support board manufacturing with schematic Entry and PCB layout tools.

•Support Development and Flight model testing and troubleshoot in a Lab environment

•Knowledge of technical standards and design approaches used for products for use in space environments

•Expert knowledge of design and development process tools and technologies and broad knowledge of adjacent design disciplines

•Familiarity with space grade components & selection would be an asset.

•Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

•Ability to consistently demonstrate business impact and continuous drive for improvement

•Ability to influence customers and cross-functional teams to deliver optimal outcomes

•Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
