Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platform
-Work in a team environment and maintain compliance to a structured product development process with accurate planning and execution
-Understand and be proficient in the use of engineering documentation, change processes and business systems
-Perform advanced engineering design calculations
-Conceptualize and create design models for submittal to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation team. Collaborate with CFD team to analyze and optimize burner performance prior to building physical test prototypes.
-Determine materials of construction required to fit performance needs of new parts/products that will perform in high temperature furnaces and equipment
-Good understanding of mechanical concepts, design principles and processes
-Understanding of the basic performance principles of combustion air fans and blowers
-Understanding of mechanisms which contribute to air pollutant emissions and ways to reduce or eliminate
-Coordination with lab resources to create new prototypes and create a detailed test plan with specific test criteria and due dates
-Create/approve technical product literature for new product introductions
-Work with other cross functions to determine sources for component procurement, recommended manufacturing processes for components, communicate critical quality features, determine manufacturing methods, etc.
-Strong communication skills required with all levels of the organization
-Proven ability to use creativity to think of new methods, systems and technologies that result in new invention disclosures/patents
-Proven ability to hold people accountable in order to drive results and projects to completion
-Support sales on field problems as required
50 Drive execution of ECO’s and lifecycle management for products assigned
20 Identify VE ideas, test/evaluate and follow through with implementation
20 Support NPI projects as required
10 Identify materials of constructions and perform energy design calculations
