IT Security Technician - Field Service

The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs, time and work material and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into the automation controls, fire, and security systems category as well as their associated computer systems. The goal is to insure system up-time and efficiency. Advanced Technical Specialists will coach and mentor Associate Technical Specialists and Technical Specialists. Advanced Technical Specialists will demonstrate expert knowledge of Honeywell’s systems and industry best practices.

Be the face of Honeywell to the customer and interact directly with end-users, peers, and competitors

Share knowledge of Honeywell solutions to enhance efficiencies and team ability

Become a technical expert for complex Honeywell solutions/product offerings

20 Provide Customer Support

20 Mentor and Train Jr. Field Service Representatives

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Associate or technical college degree in Engineering or any technical field such as in Automation, security and/or IT
  • 3 or more years’ experience inFire andSecurity systems, access control, CCTV, digital video and controlling software.
  • 3 or more years’ experience with building automation systems, troubleshooting, PC, and general networking knowledge
  • 1 or more years’ experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

WE VALUE:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR in lieu of degree will consider High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in technically related field work in security and/or IT
  • Experience with system integration, networking and software interfaces
  • Expert knowledge of security systems, access control, CCTV, digital video and controlling software.TEMALINE knowledge preferred.
  • Expert network and integration abilities to be able to work on multiple protocols like BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
  • Ability to train, teach, mentor and coach Associate Install Technical Specialists and Install Technical Specialists and be the go-to person for complex system installations
