Homes and Global Distribution is a leader in the home heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and security markets, and a leading global distributor of security and fire protection products.

In 2018, Honeywell will be spinning off the Homes and Global Distribution business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Honeywell Connected Homes is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team to work on design and development of our IOT platform. Join a smart, highly skilled team with a passion for technology. 25 Embedded C Development

25 Embedded Linux Development

25 SDK architecture design

25 HW development and troubleshooting new hardware

YOU MUST HAVE

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline

•2+ years of experience embedded software development for RTOS and Linux in C / C++

WE VALUE

•Experience leading technical discussions and review sessions

•Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

•Experience in use of static and dynamic automated test tools

•Experience in HW development and troubleshooting new hardware

•Embedded Linux development

•Embedded boot-loader experience

•Experience with IoT including knowledge of wireless protocols

•Basic knowledge in image processing, camera interfaces, and bar code technology

•Developing/working with Mobile device and camera API’s

•Software Development Kit (SDK) architecture design

•App and webpage design

•Experience with digital licensing system

•Significant Design/Applications/Systems/Embedded Engineering or similar experience.

•Familiar with common programming languages (C++, Python, etc.) and development environments (Arduino, etc.)

•Past experience building public technical collateral and presenting information at industry tech events and/or build web content around an offering

•Experience leading project/design efforts from start to finish with measurable results

•Ability to clearly assess new market potential with sensing solutions in applications

•Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks based on high level business objectives

•Understanding of various software development lifecycles

•Effective communicator who can successfully work in diverse and global partnerships
