This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Homes and Global Distribution team at Honeywell! Homes and Global Distribution is a leader in the home heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and security markets, and a leading global distributor of security and fire protection products.

In 2018, Honeywell will be spinning off the Homes and Global Distribution business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Being a stand-alone company will provide the business the independence, focus, direct financial resources, and flexibility required to adapt quickly to market and customer dynamics, and we want you to be part of its evolution.

We are seeking a strong,experiencedProject Manager to lead the AlarmNet 360 Project Team.AlarmNet 360 is Honeywell’s next generation management platform for Security Industry. It helps dealers and monitoring stations to install, configure, maintain and upgrade Honeywell security products. You will be responsible for AlarmNet 360 project management and execution.You will report directly to the HFS PMO Lead.

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills as you will be interfacing with senior business leadership.In addition, you will be the first escalation point for all project related blockers and you will ensure all open action items are brought to closure.

An ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in a fast-paced development environment and possess a strong willingness to win.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish and communicate the schedule of iterations and Program Increments (PI)
  • Facilitate the agile ceremonies such as the scrum, planning, and retrospective sessions
  • Identify, escalate, and track issues, risks, and blockers
  • Work with hardware and firmware engineering teams
  • Encourage the collaboration between teams and Architects, Engineering, Testing, User Experience, Operations, Tech Support, and Communications
  • Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and Release Management and support related activities
  • Monitor resource performance to ensure teams are functioning at peak capacity
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Facilitate System Demos
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing corrective actions that resulting from Root Cause Analysis and Sprint Retrospectives and show via performance metrics the improvements
  • Transform the team and adhere to the agile development process
  • Provide project status reviews and provide key milestones for release train coordination meetings
  • Create project dashboards that clearly communicate project status
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Project and Program Management in an agile environment leading cross-functional connected software teams

WE VALUE:

  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site, global software development teams
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified SAFe Scaled Agilist (SA) or equivalent
  • Proven agile development experience delivering solutions in sprint cycles of 2 to 4 weeks
  • Six Sigma Certification or equivalent training in DFSS tools and techniques
  • Individual must be execution, process, and customer focused
  • Overall mature, team-oriented personality with a desire to win and to be part of building a successful transformational organization
  • Ability to travel per business needs. Up to 10%
