We are seeking a leader-doer to define design strategy and lead UX for customer online self-service, ecommerce and digital marketing. You will be responsible for engaging executives and key stakeholders, partnering with cross-functional digital teams, and leading teams of designers to create a world-class online customer experience at each step of the journey – from awareness through purchase, install, support and renewal.

This role starts as a ‘team of 1’ reporting to the Head of Global Design, with the goal of building a larger digital UX team working across the B2C, B2B and B2B2C customer journey. At Honeywell Homes we use well-established human-centered design principles to ensure our products and services are the most useful, usable and desirable products in the marketplace. We are a global team with studios around the world.This role can be based in Golden Valley, Minnesota or Melville, New York. What You Will Be Responsible for:

·Defining UX strategy and design for our global web presence including digital marketing, ecommerce and customer self-service support.

·Partnering with cross-functional web teams to improve workflow process, content development, site performance and user experience.

·Collaborating with marketing, business and support leaders to improve customer experience while delivering on business goals and outcomes.

·Collaborating with hardware and software product teams to ensure the site supports the end-to-end customer needs for the Homes portfolio

·Leading teams of designers from across our global studios to deliver on projects.

·Providing a clear and consistent voice on end-to-end UX design to project teams & stakeholders.

·Creating and executing user-centered designs for products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world.

·Working with a global interdisciplinary design team to create and constantly improve customer experience, market impact and brand value.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related degree/equivalent experience.
  • 7 years experience in UX design and related work.
WE VALUE
  • Proficient user experience design skills (customer journey map, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design)
  • Extensive experience in industrial design of products.
  • Graduate degree in interaction design, graphic design or related discipline
  • Outstanding user experience design portfolio or concepts and commercialized products
  • Experience with observational user research, ethnography, insighting and synthesis
  • Fluent with design sketching and prototyping tools, e.g., Axure, Balsamiq, Visio, etc.
  • Experience with design trends, benchmarking, forecasting and concept creation
  • Experience with leadership, project planning, scoping and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment
