The Electrical Engineer II implements electrical projects as the Lead Engineer for an integrated system or sub-system. The Electrical Engineer provides planning, reporting and management of the electrical project, in addition to technical implementation. The Electrical Engineer takes full ownership of the electrical project elements and executes (and/or delegate) individual tasks throughout the project life cycle by coordinating and forecasting electrical resources in-house and on site (may include other Electrical Project Engineers). The Electrical Engineer takes a systems approach in understanding core design

features, project elements, overall electrical architecture and manages the scope, budget (OA’s, CO’s), schedule, maintaining internal and external customer expectations throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains and tracks issues list and report progress to Lead Engineer
  • Monitors and works from project tasks lists and timelines; reports progress on a regular basis
  • Assists Lead Engineer in the development of layout drawings, network drawings, e-stop zone drawings, permit drawings, full load calculations, bill of materials, and control panel schematic drawings
  • Participates in initial System Design Review
  • Reviews customer SOW/RFP/RFQ and specifications as requested
  • Attends electrical related pricing, concept, and customer review meetings as requested
  • Attends Electrical Design Review
  • Executes all test plans on-site, both internal and customer acceptance/BUAT/UAT/FAT
  • Schedules and facilitates lessons learned post-mortem engineering review; focuses on technical aspects of the project and improvements

    20 Assists Lead Engineer in the development of layout drawings

    20 Participates in initial System Design Review

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • Capability to update or modify working methods in your role by following defined procedures
  • Interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity
  • Dexterity to evaluate and recommend technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices
  • 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
