Honeywell Building Solutions in Markham is looking to add a Proposal Writer to the team. The Proposal Writer will lead the development of customer proposals including responses to RFIs, RFPs, etc. working closely with the Canadian sales team.

•Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review and approval, entering and monitoring tracking data, coordinating requirements with contributors

•Study proposal requirements and ensure a compliant proposal is developed

•Maintain quality results by following writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone

•Maintain proposal content library

•Assist in the development of sales tools, brochures, other marketing and promotional materials to support growth objectives

•Assist in the development of materials related to the communication and awareness program

•Complete competitive analysis and marketing research as required

•May perform other assignments as requested

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum Community College Diploma or Certificate
  • 3 years+ experience in a similar role with business and technical writing
WE VALUE
  • Marketing background preferred
  • Graduate of Shipley or other accredited B2B proposal program or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to write succinctly and persuasively
  • Expert in use of Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, OneNote, OneDrive and electronic mail
  • Proficient in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Flexibility/adaptability and an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
  • Strong team oriented individual with superior interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet various deadlines
