The Sr. Global Planner is a recognized expert in developing a global supply plan and performing material

analysis and capacity analysis for the Integrated Supply Chain organization at Ottawa. Global Planning will work regularly with Demand Planning, Customer Business Team’s, Production Scheduling, Operations & Procurement in support of supply planning across the horizon. The Sr. Global Planner will perform a wide variety of duties to support an executable supply plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Effectively develop an executable supply plan (MPS) that meets customer OTTR, revenue commitments, and inventory commitments

Work with demand planning to manage demand changes inside lead time and with the site to ensure adequate capacity is available

Lead/support the development of customer recovery plans

Perform regular material coverage analysis to uncover, prevent and resolve any material shortages. Lead/support the weekly Cell SIOP process to ensure proper planning, alignment and resource availability to allow MPS execution

Complete standard work daily for global planning (777’s, Acceleration’s, SPIR’s, SFDC cases, Yellow Bins, Red Bins, etc.)Lead/support efforts to understand root cause and corrective actions for process failures relating to planning, scheduling and execution

Lead/participate in tiered accountability process Drive Continuous Improvement

Develop, document and implement processes and process improvements. Provide training and supporting actions to sustain improvements. Mentor, coach and educate the production scheduling team

Completes work without supervision. Expert on policies and procedures (AP's & AG's) within

Materials Management

Support the continued progression of HOS

50 Develop and manage the master production schedule

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum College Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of Integrated Supply Chain experience
  • Eligibility to view Bills of Material

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Understand ERP/MRP systems; particularly SAP
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other computer systems
