Position Scope

This position is dedicated to leading the global logistics activities for Honeywell UOP. Key responsibilities include: direct management of seven direct reports with supporting team member groups flawless performance from order entry to shipment delivery; addressing issues and risk mitigation strategies with an extended supply chain. Drive improvements and productivity for logistics and warehousing functions to include establishing major KPIs such as inbound/outbound logistics performance, transportation cost, storage inventory, Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA), annual physical inventory, transportation and safety compliance, on-time delivery, and customer requirements. …

Function details

Primary responsibility will be to lead the UOP Business for Freight and Distribution (end to end) requirements, encompassing 15 sites globally including Factories, warehouses and distribution Centers.

-The Global Logistics Leader will partner with Manufacturing, Sourcing, I.T, SIOP, Finance, and Sales to provide a distribution and transport strategy that meets the needs of manufacturing and sales (customers) while sustaining growth and productivity in the business.

-In conjunction with other business function, will develop the annual STRAP and AOP for UOP Logistics

-Responsible to develop, maintain, and report on Key metrics (AOP, Performance, Analysis) and align with Finance for monthly reporting around logistics spend and key business metrics

-Ensure optimization and correct reporting of UOP annual freight and distribution spend.

-Act as the primary functional Logistics SME to the Senior Leadership Team

-Provide Logistics direction and support for:

-Transitions,

-SAP deployments,

-Productivity Projects, such as 4PL and freight payment programs.

-Responsible to provide functional leadership and support to develop and improve logistics capability throughout UOP sites.

-Initiate and drive productivity projects and track/report results.

-Ensuring relevant key site metrics are reported and productivity actions sustained through regular site Governance reviews (MOS) and the site self-assessment OP/EX audit process.

-Establish logistics best practice standards and drive through the organization.

-Develop strong cross business relationships with other PMT Corporate and PMT SBE Logistics Leaders>-Ensure sites comply with all Dangerous Goods global training and documentation/transport regulations.

-Coach, lead SBE and Site team development and succession planning to ensure talent development and growth opportunities for the logistics staff

-Align with PMT Logistics Mode/Area Managers and Regional Leaders.

-Develop strong and effective relationships with supplier, transportation providers and key warehouse/distribution 3PL organizations.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Minimum 5 years experience leading global teams
  • Minimum 5 years global logistics experience with multiple sites
  • Minimum 1 year materials management experience
