We are looking for a Category Manager — Buy to Sell to help us achieve our goals. In this position, you would work within the Honeywell Building Technologies — Connected Buildings Business working on Supply Chain initiatives.
You would be responsible for the development and communication of the commodity vision throughout the organization; plan, organize, and control strategic activities surrounding the acquisition of the Source and Sell commodities for the Connected Buildings SBE of HBT including management of key purchase complete supplier relationships. You would work closely with Connected Buildings Product Management and Engineering teams as they work to implement Supply Chain Management strategy. This is all done to achieve the lowest total costs, effective asset management, continuous quality improvement, delivery, and cycle time performance improvement and early supplier involvement in product development.
•Managing selection, performance, commercial terms, and strategic relationships with source and sell and contract manufacturers.
•Vendor and contract management for all current or potential vendors.
•Work with marketing and supplier quality to qualify and develop products with 3rd party suppliers
•Conducting competitive bid process / e-Auctions & supplier evaluation — risk, quality, and price
•Manage and negotiate supply agreements in support of overall supply chain goals and objectives
•Promote and monitor early supplier involvement in key product developments, using the supplier’s expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability
•Successful supplier transition with zero impact to schedule and quality
•Develop Emerging Regions strategies while retaining flexibility and responsiveness in the supply change to North American market needs
•Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of commodities conditions, industry trends, and developing technologies including software
•Establishes and manages key supplier performance goals and objectives; communicates periodic results to plan and manages top-level continuous improvement
•Develops keen awareness of industry performance benchmarks
•Establishes top-level plans providing foundation for improved factory flexibility and responsiveness
•This position supports key growth initiatives globally, and hence provides significant visibility and growth potential for the right candidate

•Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business
•Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Category Specialist or Strategic Buyer in Supply Chain environment or in Sourcing / Materials /Purchasing Department with supplier negotiation experience
•Excellent English level
•Advanced degree, preferably a MBA in Business or Engineering
•Six Sigma Black Belt
•CPM and/or APICS certification
•2+ years commodity management experience
•Wide sourcing experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics and or software exposure desired
•Previous experience with source and sell sourcing highly desired
•Strong negotiation skills
•Excellent teaming abilities
•Contract negotiation experience
•Strong communication and leadership skills dealing with a global cross-functional team
•Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrix organizational environment
