We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commissioning Technician to be based in Brisbane .
The Commissioning Technician is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Engineer on the delivery of projects, and ensuring the commissioning tasks performed achieve the functionality and specification requirements.
You will be responsible for the commissioning and coordinating these requirements of various key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Commissioning, through to Customers and Customer site employees. You will be the lead in the commissioning of a project and be responsible for supporting technicians and apprentices. You will be responsible to the Project Manager/Director for the successful commissioning and documentation of the commissioning results on the project, including leading the witnessing of the commissioned system with the client/consultant.
Key Accountabilties/ Deliverables
· Lead the configuration, commissioning and witnessing of the BMCS and Security systems. Documenting the commissioning results and tracking commissioning progress to meet the completion date.
· Minimise and eliminate time spent in rework and revisits, by performing quality checks on installation and perform sample test on completed install works.
· Possess a comprehensive understanding of building management systems, security systems, engineering documentation and contract specifications.
· Adhere to the high standards of Health and Safety management required by Honeywell and our customers. Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as per company policy and procedures.
· Prepare commissioning plans and submittals per engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead team to obtain submittal approval.
A Security Licence and NV1 or higher security clearance is required and a relevant trade certificate is essential. A proven track record in commissioning activities in the delivery of technology based projects is mandatory to be considered for this opportunity.
