We are seeking a Lead User Experience Designer to play a central role designing a wide variety of smart home products and services for the UK, European and global markets. Lead designers are responsible for shaping the overall vision and detailed user experience for hardware products and digital experiences along with marketing, engineering and other collaborators. This role is based in our Design Studio in Bracknell, United Kingdom. It is a unique opportunity to come join a world-class experience design group at a great company.
As a top candidate, you will contribute directly to creating the next generation of user experiences on a wide variety of smart home products. HUE delivers an end-to-end user experience across every user touch point. We use well-established human-centered design principles to ensure that Honeywell Homes products and services are the most useful, usable and desirable products in the marketplace.
What You Will Be Responsible for:
•Planning user research, execute and report findings and recommendations to team members and business stakeholders.
•Leading E2E UXD on major Honeywell Homes projects (Connected and non-connected products).
•Working with the business representatives and other HUE designers across the business and collaborating with external design partners.
•Providing a clear and consistent voice on end-to-end UX design to project teams & stakeholders.
•Creating and executing user-centered designs for products and services that differentiate our brands in the marketplace around the world.
•Executing UXD best practices throughout the product development process.
•Collaborating with other User Experience disciplines, including graphic, interaction and industrial design, researchers and usability specialists to create design strategies, develop advanced design concepts and deliver outstanding products to market that delight our end users.
•Working in an interdisciplinary studio to create and constantly improve the framework and best practices for world-class design studios

As a Lead User Experience Designer, you will need the following talents, skills and experiences:
•Strong portfolio of physical and digital product UX design.
•Strong background in design research and evaluating products and design concepts using: design trends, heuristic reviews, competitive benchmarking, formative and summative usability studies.
•Experience creating user interface designs including wireframes, iterative prototypes, and providing design assets and specifications to software engineering teams
•Ability to convert user research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
•Experience in design strategy, trends and how they apply to brand and product planning.
•Demonstrable talent in developing industry-leading user interface designs.
•Experience creating low-fidelity to high-fidelity interactive user interface prototypes.
•Demonstrated experience successfully scoping, planning and executing projects.

•Bachelor’s or Masters degree in human factors, psychology, interaction design, user experience design or related degree or equivalent experience.
•6 or more years of experience in human factors / user experience design of products.
•Outstanding user experience design portfolio or concepts and commercialized products.
•Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude.
•Proficient user experience design skills, e.g., customer journey map, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design, etc.
•Experience with observational user research, ethnography, insight and synthesis is an essential requirement for the role.
•Fluent with design sketching and prototyping tools, e.g., Axure, Sketch, inVision, Omnigraffle, Visio, Adobe Creative Suite.
•Experience planning and budgeting for UX Design work.
•Experience with design trends, benchmarking, forecasting and concept creation.
•Experience with project planning, scoping and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment
