The position of DevOps Quality Engineer is responsible for working with Honeywell Agile teams to utilize continuous integration and continuous deploy/delivery (CICD) infrastructure. The DevOps Quality Engineer will support automation of the CICD tool-chain and processes to build a world class CICD pipeline and enable Honeywell’s 11k+ Software Engineers to deliver securely, safely, and frequently.

Responsibility

· Plan, coordinate and perform capability evaluations

· Use Voice of Customer to identify information needs and remove pain points relating to measurement

· Assist with preparation of metrics and reports

  • Coach teams on planning and adopting improvements to CICD infrastructure
  • Focused on helping teams develop better software with adoption of following DevOps capabilities: Test Automation, Deployment Automation, Trunk-Based Development, Shift Left on Security, Version Control, Monitoring, Proactive Notifications, Loosely Coupled Architecture, Empowered Teams, Continuous Integration, and Test Data Management.

· Improve speed to market and application quality by utilizing testing best practices, release automation, component releases and release strategies.

· Follow and evangelize enterprise standards to ensure high quality automated environment

· Support Agile teams in adopting and implementing CICD

25 Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash and Python

25 Ability to use teams for team collaboration, such as Jira and Confluence

25 Good knowledge and practical experience in Software Quality Assurance, Process Improvement

25 Proficiency with visualization tools

You Must Have

·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience

·Understanding of software engineering best practices and software development lifecycles; especially DevOps, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Processes (CICD)

Experience leading or participating in process &/or tool improvement initiatives

·Experience working in an agile environment (2+ years)

·Coaching and influencing skills

·Excellent planning and time-management skills

·Excellent attention to detail

·Pragmatic and results-oriented mindset

·Ability to effectively apply Six Sigma tools and methodologies

·Passion to help others, both face-to-face and remotely

·Team player that puts team first, willing to make the difficult decision and have the difficult conversation while providing clear recommendations to leadership that is best for the long term

·Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships across disciplines and across the organization

·Highly self-motivated and resilient

·Experience working within an Agile team (2+ years)

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels in an organization
