Service Reliability Engineers are responsible for measuring the pulse of the Connected Enterprise & Honeywell Sentience ecosystem. We monitor and proactively improve the system and suggest improvements for implementation by others. The SRE will accelerate application delivery by developing standardized automation to control, build, artifact, and deploy managed services to form a common continuous deployment pipeline for application development teams as a whole. We are responsible for end-end incident and change management to minimize operational downtime. We also act as consultants for engineers and product managers when new products and services are getting ready to launch. You will work directly with our Engineering and DevOps teams to support our next generation "always available" Industrial IoT (IIoT) Platform.

The qualified candidate will be comfortable working in an environment that is both matrixed and with some direct oversight of on and offshore teams in other technical

domains.

Overall Responsibilities:

•Operations SREs handle problems in live production systems, both on their own and in collaboration with systems and product engineers

•Develop and use monitoring tools to find problems, resolve and/or escalate to development and ensure that we exceed our SLAs.

•Design and implement health rules for stability and performance, and integrate tools and scripts to automate self-healing maintenance and monitoring tasks with DevOps and Engineering

•Develop automation to quickly and rapidly deploy instances from blue-printed applications or golden images

•Keep the Connected Enterprise products informed about the status of Honeywell Sentience services, the impact of known issues, and the progress of ongoing investigations

•Continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer and engineering reported issues, and proactively identify areas in need of optimization

•Provisioning, deployment and maintaining of Honeywell Connected Enterprise development, staging, test and production

•Maintain Honeywell Sentience internal support documents and procedures

•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

YOU MUST HAVE

•2+ years’ experience hands-on experience installing, administering, and configuring AppDynamics and/or ElasticSearch

•2+ years’ experience managing and leading application reliability and automation practices

•2+ years’ experience with developing and driving real-time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into site health and key performance indicators

WE VALUE

•Working knowledge of C#, Java

•Working knowledge of Splunk, ELK, Redhat Openshift platform, PowerShell, ARM templates, bash, and Python

•Prior experience with agile methodologies, performance engineering and automation tools

•Technical understanding of core infrastructure, cloud services, platforms and micro-services.

•Working understanding of IT service management (Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge management)

•Clear communication skills and the ability to lead a technical team of support engineers through day to day operations and critical incidents

•Ability to work across teams to continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer and engineering reported issues, and proactively identify areas in need of optimization

•Highly confident and capable in reporting and communicating high-value metrics to leadership. Deep understanding of the business landscape and how site reliability influences our products and customers
