We are looking for video architect for developing state-of-the-art video technologies as part of connected building applications. Video plays a pivotal role in the future of connected building technologies to deliver unparalleled intelligence that provide the users with actionable insights in their environment. This challenging role will require someone who deeply understands video systems, as well as video algorithms ranging from video analytics, deep learning, and computer vision algorithms. Practical hands-on experience in building end-to-end intelligent video analytics systems will be highly preferable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead and design and prototype of novel applications of video analytics, utilizing machine learning and AI technologies

· Be a solution architect – help define the business case and can integrate video technology into a larger system consisting of other sensors and data sources to solve customer problems

· Convert successful prototypes into new products and services for the connected-buildings applications, such as security, public safety or retail

· Keep current with new trends in video technology, identify and evaluate potential partners and their technologies

· Work with leadership and customer-facing team to guide road-map planning

· Work with a global team consisting of software, hardware, and research expertise across geographies

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific and technical disciplines.
WE VALUE
  • Experience in video analytics, video management systems, or video streaming solutions, from architecture design, implementation to deployment
  • Deep understanding of on-premise, on-board, and cloud-based video system architectures
  • Demonstrated experience in turning research ideas into successful prototypes and products
  • Excellent communication skill (verbal & written)
  • Knowledge and algorithm development experience of deep learning and modern computer vision and video analytics techniques
  • Familiarity with various video analytics and machine learning/ AI platforms, e.g. GPUs, embedded, and cloud based services
  • Understanding of video standards and protocols
  • Experience with highly scalable, real-time and low latency video systems
  • Experience in software development, cloud technologies, and web applications for quick prototyping
  • Experience with use or design of video specific
  • APIs and framework, including open source software projects
  • Experience in software development, cloud technologies, and web applications for quick prototyping
  • Strong system-level debugging experience and creative problem-solving skills
  • Desire to be hands-on in all phases of design and development
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with a positive can do attitude
  • Comfortable presenting ideas from high-level to detailed technical analysis results to a broad audience
