Honeywell has an excellent career opportunity for a Demand Planner within the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) team for the Fire Americas GBE within Home and Building Technologies (HBT).This Demand Planner role is ideal for an analytical, motivated business professional, looking for a challenge with broad exposure to all areas of the business.The Demand Planner will utilize their demand and asset planning expertise in a manufacturing environment at Honeywell Fire Systems. You will gather performance data and assess whether or not departments are performing according to production schedules. The Demand Planner will produce reports that evaluate plant capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented. You will maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand.

Improve delivery performance through a variety of analytical and administrative duties performed across the supply chain teams

Facilitate collaboration within the manufacturing teams to achieve customer demands and schedules

Drive continuous improvement and lead change to ensure resources available for delivery of our services and products

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Interface with sales and marketing organizations, utilizing statistics, sales projections, and market intelligence to develop a comprehensive regional demand plan.
  • Document major assumptions in the demand plan, including the coordination of new products, business opportunities, promotions, or customer activities.
  • Prepare and facilitate monthly regional demand planning reconciliation SIOP meetings and provide pro-active gap analysis of demand, financial and supply plans.
  • Partner with LOB Finance to ensure that forecasts are visible, planned and supported through the supply chain while delivering customer satisfaction and improving inventory and working capital.
  • As a team member of the LOB, the Demand Planner will proactively analyze and recommend finished goods unit forecasts, inventory policies, and safety stock strategies based on market demands and business goals.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree, in lieu of education, 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain. or closely related field
WE VALUE
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, with a high level of Excel knowledge
  • Clear success in the delivery of planning capabilities, ideally in a complex, high volume, high variability environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, team oriented environment.
  • Experience using SAP/APO or similar ERP and forecasting system
  • Experience with Tableau
  • Basic understanding of statistical forecasting methods
  • Knowledge of inventory management/optimization concepts, APICS certification preferred
  • Previous Leadership experience strongly desired
  • High level of proven analytical skills, business acumen and sales/marketing insight
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively pursue and implement integrative solutions to complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed, team oriented environment
