As an Engagement Leader, you will report directly to the Director, Engagement Management and be a member of the Industrial Analytics team within the Honeywell Connected Enterprise organization. This role is integral to driving the digital transformation of Honeywell and creating the capabilities needed that allows us to serve the consumer faster and more personally, at scale. This role, in coordination with the leaders of Honeywell’s Strategic Business Units, will help accelerate our greatest opportunities, put decision-making closer to the consumer and enable us to move at the speed of the marketplace.
The Engagement Leader is responsible for coordination and execution of Industrial Analytics services delivery and product adoption for key strategic customers, across the Connected Enterprise. This role is customer-facing and requires direct interaction with various stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, with the goal of driving customer success. This role will provide the opportunity to exercise a wide variety of the successful candidate’s skills, including program management knowledge, large multi-product implementations, software development, relationship management, consulting process improvement and organizational change management. These skills will be leveraged to empower the delivery of the Industrial Analytics vision.
This role will have a significant impact on the success of our data science engagements, ranging from project selection, to the delivery of the highest quality solution, ultimately enabling our business processes and products with AI and Data Science. This leader will be accountable to make meaningful impact on the future direction of the company. Ultimately, this role will define new opportunities for business impact and will work closely with other senior leaders to navigate the pipeline from ideation to production to user adoption.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Understand Honeywell’s Industrial Analytics value proposition, technologies and services and help to position them to customers in the context of an overall engagement strategy
•Lead/help set Connected Enterprise’s strategic direction into analytic offering decisions within and across business lines. Lead the development of the portfolio of offerings within a given focus area.
•Understand what customers value and what is needed for Honeywell to succeed in an account; assess, clarify, and help validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
•Provide direction/complete necessary marketplace/client research that support business case and inform planning decisions.
•Develop and/or manage the business case including revenue/profitability estimates. Secure funding approval for new assets, acquisitions and/or partner channels to accelerate portfolio expansion and market potential.
•Identify upcoming business opportunities and success criteria and clearly articulate milestones and execution plan.
•Develop/lead cross functional teams to ensure that the offerings meet customer needs, are economically and technically viable and are deliverable.
•Develop costs and trade-offs, start vs. stop vs. enhance decisions/recommendations for products in development to deliver the maximum value from the offering portfolio within agreed development timescales and constraints.
•Create and maintain multi-year product life cycle plans to drive increase visibility, value and utility of new and existing products.
•Ensure alignment between development decisions and actual product plan and customer targets/expectations.
•Make recommendations regarding engagement resourcing structure or process change to maximize service and delivery of new offering/enhancements
•Manage a variety internal relationship (e.g. account executives, executive sponsors, delivery teams, etc) and orchestrate activities between groups to resolve issues and move program forward.
Develop go-to-market recommendations for new offers including customer segmentation and pricing frameworks. Manage product mix and engage both clients and internal teams to minimize risks associated with product transition and or cannibalization.
•In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop recommended plans and secures budget for marketing/thought leadership, collateral development and sales organization training.
•Liaise with clients (with or independent of sales,) as necessary to support client prospecting and proposal development for new products.
•Recognize impact of developments in industry that may influence Honeywell products, services or trends.
•Forecast trends, identifies potential impacts and applies knowledge to offering development and business line strategy.
•Communicate program information and status to the executives and stakeholders, and provide engagement oversight of the program related projects and tracks of work; Act as internal point of coordination relating to approach and solution and is the primary escalation point.
•Gather feedback on the enterprise solution delivery results; analyze feedback, identify and determine global implications and provide recommended improvements based on the learnings into future enterprise solution delivery.
Demonstrated track record, including exceptional results in:
•Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers in a clear manner.
•Negotiation, conflict, and judgment skills to interact with all levels within the organization (internal and external) with attention to detail, quality, professionalism, and brand compliance.
•Ability to lead complex matrix teams across geographic and business unit boundaries including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, resolve conflicts, and mange problems.
•Evangelism of technology & data/analytics capabilities with business executives to solve their toughest challenges
•Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders
•Facilitation, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to run groups of up to 20 plus
•Able to exercise good judgment by making timely and effective, well-informed decisions.
•Ability to use negotiation skills to constructively resolve differences and ensure an integrated solution is presented to the client
