To lead Blending & Movement Automation (BMA) discipline and project engineering team in the region by implementing projects, conducting workshops & training, providing sales support, & supervising technical staff including engineers, technicians, HMI developers & software development/testers towards the design, specification, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning and handover of BMA Solutions applied to oil and gas and petrochemical customers in the Middle East.
As BMA Technical Manager, this role has responsibility for sound technical design & delivery of BMA Projects in the Middle East from project initiation to commissioning & finance acceptance.
•Establish professional relationships and communications with Customers, Project Management, Sales, Sales Support, Life Cycle Service, etc.
•Provide day-to-day consultation, leadership and direction of a local engineering group comprising professional engineering staff. Reviews the quantity and quality of subordinate deliverables, taking corrective action where required. Assign staff to projects and manage the day-to-day resource conflicts. Ensuring subordinates are following appropriate Honeywell’s, customers and local government guidelines, quality standards, policies and HSE regulations.
•Able to act as technical interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer requirements.
•Ensures that prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget, low cost engineering content) are in place prior to start work.
•Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control and identifies risks / opportunities. Report in a timely manner to Honeywell management on project progress and potential risks and propose corrective actions to be taken through Honeywell project reporting processes
•Ensuring any deliverable to be rational, profitable, of highest quality, aligned with Honeywell’s goals, Honeywell’s Code of Conduct and appropriate policies, guidelines and regulations.
•Supporting project managers and contracts managers to ensure that contractual scope obligations of BMA projects are met.
•Responsible for appropriate sourcing of project 3rd party & Honeywell factory deliverables and for engaging with Honeywell Global Engineering services (GES) for timely and qualified labor supply to projects.
•Actively and in a timely manner supports project operation requirements within Honeywell. These can include but not limited to Project SIOP, Project Schedule & Costing, HSE, Team billability, Participation in Monthly Project Reviews, Knowledge Sharing, etc.
•Creates training, certification and personal and career development plans. Completes all appropriate performance management activities such as appraisal, coaching, training.
•Supporting sales with presentations, project estimates/calculations, proposals, white papers and articles in appropriate technical magazines.
•Coordinate with the After Market Services organization to ensure smooth hand over of projects into the support phase.
•Provide consulting, and thought leadership in the BMA discipline by observing market trends and adjusting the processes & tools Honeywell project teams use to deliver projects, engaging with Honeywell Support & Development Organizations to provide feedback and improve product quality.

YOU MUST HAVE
The Technical Manager must have a minimum of 15 years demonstrated experience in one or more of the following with at least 5 years in a process control environment:
•A sound technical background in one or more of:
oBlending & Movement Automation project execution.
oExperion Blend Controller
oOpen Blend Property Control
oExperion Ratio Control
oBlend Performance Monitoring
oStorage Data Management
oTask Monitor Module
oBlend Property Control
oDCS Honeywell TPS & Experion
oPLC Systems such as CITECT, Control Logix, Rockwell RSView, Serck SCX6, iFIX, Wonderware InTouch, Experience in the use of IEC1131 programming languages e.g. ladder logic, function block programming and sequential function charts.
oNetworks Systems including Ethernet, Modbus, Modbus Plus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, Profibus or Fieldbus technologies
•Analytical, troubleshooting & and problem solving skills;
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work independently & in a diverse team.
•Customer orientation and focused on delivering quality and timely outcomes from a clients perspective;
•Orientation towards goal and milestone driven works;
•Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
