Description: The site HOS/Quality Manger is responsible for driving strategic quality and HOS initiatives while working directly with customers and suppliers. This position is also responsible for driving the implementation of HOS and Quality systems across the site and the continued implementation and maturity of the Honeywell Operating System.

The following are the key responsibilities of this position: • Implement the Aerospace HOS/Quality vision by developing, deploying and sustaining a full Quality, HOS and Regulatory system for the full site operations • Establish and attain Quality and HOS performance goals and improvement objectives, including improvements in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), escapes, RCCA completion and HOS implementation and maturity • Ensure compliance to the Honeywell Quality Management System (QMS) in order to ensure adherence to customer requirements, regulatory statues, government regulations and engineering specifications • In conjunction with site AOP processes, partner with site leadership to develop and deploy the site strategy • Lead the implementation of HOS at the site to achieve HOS OTC (order to cash) requirements. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on achieving business objectives in an accelerated fashion • Ensure proper execution of all internal and external audit programs including a management review process that requires leadership engagement in the site’s overall QMS • Develop and maintain a system to assure that all products manufactured and serviced by the organization meet customer requirements while achieving superior quality and reliability levels • Drive a robust Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process across the organization and champion internal and external escape reduction initiatives; • Coach and mentor leaders through the facility on HOS Behaviors, principles and practices • Lead process excellence and best practice sharing within the site and across all functions in order to develop ‘best in class’ manufacturing operations • Identify initiatives that lead to standardization, simplification and overall improvement of quality and HOS systems, ensure process controls are in place for standardized work instructions, tooling and test equipment • Establish and strengthen the quality improvement culture throughout the site through the use of HOS principles, including Built in Quality (BIQ) • Align HOS subject matter experts (including Lean Experts, SS Black Belts) to support HOS activities and drive continuous improvement • Closely monitor HOS performance and maturity scorecards; develop actions to address performance gaps and accelerate improvements • Lead and develop HOS and Quality talent including hiring, career path development and performance management • Provide quality support for New Product Introduction (NPI), production readiness and product support • Provide quality support for product transitions; implement product and process improvements and controls to assure sustained product quality results upon completion

Qualification: Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in quality, operations, continuous improvement or another technical discipline • 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, including experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools • 3 years of people leadership experience • HOS Green Belt Certification Additional Qualifications • Lean Expert/Six Sigma Black Belt trained or certified, highly preferred • Bachelor Degree in quality, continuous improvement, business or another technical discipline • Leadership experience with ability to build, manage and motivate high performing teams • Experienced change agent with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations • Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards applicable to the manufacture of Aerospace products as applicable (i.e. FAA requirements, FAR 145, AS9100, ISO9000, D1-9000A, etc.) • Possesses financial acumen, understands business metrics and how to impact results • Able to establish relationships of trust and deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels • Significant experience conducting Kaizen / Focused Improvement Events • Ability to be flexible, adapt to change and work in ambiguous environments • Strong project management skills with the ability to close initiatives on time and within budget • Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality tools such as CAMP, RCCA, SAP, etc. • Demonstrated passion for HOS with expert knowledge and hands-on experience using HOS tools • Demonstrated ability to quickly build relationships and influence broadly across the organization • Highly effective coach and role model, adept at deploying non-directive approaches • Able to travel 10% as necessary to support HOS & Quality activities
