Intelligrated, now part of Honeywell is seeking a Technical & Controls Support Engineer in West Chester, OH.The Technical & Controls Support Engineer engages customers to troubleshoot and solve complex down time events in real time. Technical & Controls Support Engineers work in a fast paced and collaborative environment to maximize uptime of 24x7/365 customer operations achieved through flexible, rotational shifts and on-call responsibilities. Most support is provided utilizing current technology via telephone, remote access, and occasional on-site assistance. A Technical & Controls Support engineer knows fundamental concepts, practices, procedures and troubleshooting methods for industrial automations applications.
Provide remote product technical support to customers and internal resources over telephone
Troubleshoot, isolate, and manage resolution of technical issues, creating workaround solutions and escalating to other resources as necessary
Manage technical support issues to resolution
Coordinate troubleshooting with customers and internal resources
Document interactions in customer support database
Develop and implement workaround solutions as necessary
Implement and/or manage changes in customer systems
Apply company-approved standard solutions as possible
Coordinate internal and customer resources for implementation
Document changes to software or drawings as necessary
Emergency technical support at customer sites
Document customer configurations during commissioning and customer audits
Contribute constructively to changes in customer service policies and procedures
Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering
Perform training of customers and customer service associates

35 Manage technical support issues to resolution
10 Prepare or update reports and documentation
15 Collaborate with other engineering teams
YOU MUST HAVE
- The minimum requirement for entry into the position is attainment of aBachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology,or Computer Science (or its equivalent), plus 1 year of experience.
One should also possess: the ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize calls within standard protocols; escalate issues as necessary to qualified resources; basic computer and network knowledge; proficiency in office applications, some computer language or PLC logic experience; experience with C#, Visual Basic, C, and SQL/Informix; experience with Server administration (Windows and Linux); ability to deliver detail documentation (i.e., Dashboard and training materials); and troubleshooting experience.
