Value Engineering Homologation Launch Readiness Review Leader EMEAI

Primary responsibility | Metrics are:

  • Achieve the regional VE-HLRR AOP in term of Saving $M
  • Generate enough Pipeline in $M at each stage of the process to secure coming AOP
  • Coordinate Ph Exit on time & other On Time metrics (Tooling launch, ODT, PPAP etc.)
  • Ensure and enforce X-functional alignment on Projects
  • Provide frequent Update and Manage escalation in case of road Blocks anytime in the process
  • VE-HLRR Ideas Generation
  • Coordinate Ideas Generation for his region
  • Structure the collection of ideas from Commodities, Regional Sourcing Org., COE, Product Lines, SQ&D and Customer Team Ideas
  • Facilitate the cross-functional idea generation in his region and collect the saving potential
  • Ensure the Ideator is passing the Phase 0 VE-HLRR Phase in a timely manner and in accordance with the VE-HLRR Process
  • Set and run the VE/HLRR PAC meetings (Phase Exit Call) for his region and chair the meeting with the support of the Global VE-HLRR Leader
  • Ensure CT PM are presenting Phase 3.2 in GBE PAC in a timely manner.
  • Ensure regular reports to the Global VE-HLRR Leader according to the global flow of information in saving $M (from a Cdty, PL and CT standpoint).
  • VE-HLRR Execution
  • Ensure that all ideas exited Ph0 are well registered in the IT tool and are properly documented
  • Create project in IT Tool when ph0 is exited.
  • Ensure VE-HLRR Ideas exited Phase 0 are allocated to a Project Leader (Sourcing) and enforce proper project handover.
  • Track the construction of the business case by the Ops Buyer in his region in order to accelerate the Ph3.1 Exit
  • Prioritize projects based on Strategy, Business Case, and Feasibility.
  • Ensure Project Leaders are presenting Phase 3.1 in GBE PAC in a timely manner.
  • Ensure regular Project reviews with CT of his region are happening under CT PM Leadership so that engine batches are built.
  • Ensure CT PM are presenting Phase 3.2 in GBE PAC in a timely manner.
  • Identify root causes of any roadblocks or risk of projects delays possibly affecting saving. Support resolution and/or escalate the concern to the Global Leader & RPD
  • Act as SB Escalation Point of contact for CT PM in what regards open SB tasks
  • Cover Ph3.2 Progresses feedback to SB Project Leader through appropriate MOS
  • Support AOP & STRAP plan for his region
  • Make the link between Customer Team ok to proceed and project execution ensuring all acceptance criteria are met.
  • Deploy the programs execution and coordinate Ops Buyer activity
  • Sit with CT PM to get program progresses update
  • Identify and resolve any roadblocks or risk of projects delays possibly affecting saving. Eventually escalate the concern to the Global Leader & RPDPh6
  • Implement a MOS with Ops Buyer to review Launch status
  • Close loop with CT PM on SOP timingMOS:
  • Deploy adequate MOS with all cross-functional teams in his region to generate ideas and coordinate executionParticipate to GBE PACs.
  • Participate to Material Margin meeting.
  • Need to define escalation path to Commodity, RPD, Engineers or CT when needed
  • Could be involved in Escalation to VP’s in case of important swing in projects (Friday every other week)
  • Metrics and Process Improvement
  • Update and report regularly the key metrics related to the VE-HLRR initiative (ph Exit, $M at each phase, Matex savings vs AOP, gaps/root causes etc.)
  • Ensure AOP target achievements and set VE-HLRR recovery plan
  • Support the continuous improvement by identifying the VE-HLRR process strong/weak points and recommended process changes
  • Ensure alignment of VE-HLRR Saving at Regional Level
  • Be part of IT Tool improvement activity (highlight improvement opportunities, make suggestions)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or Project management within the Automotive Industry.
  • Proven effectiveness in working in a global, multicultural environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate concisely and act in a multicultural and cross-functional environment at all levels inside and outside the company
  • Action oriented, results driven with proven track record of achieving business goals
