Honeywell Program Manager - AE in United States

This position is based in Herndon, Virginia and supports the Advanced Connected Sustainability Technologies (ACST) organization under Honeywell Corporate. ACST has a broad, Cross-Honeywell global mandate, leveraging expertise across multiple domains and vertical markets. The Program Manager leads programs, drives strategic business process development and execution in support of ACST Customers to build and maintain our advanced technology products and associated services. This position ensures all processes and policies are managed in accordance with procurement and contracting best practices, customer requirements and Honeywell policy. This position will have responsibility to work with customers, internal and external, to develop work content and approach for enabling ACST worldwide. Successful candidates will be creative, detail driven, outgoing and have excellent problem solving and program management abilities. In addition, candidate will: Work with PMs, technical leads/teams, and stakeholders to define requirements, assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects; Assess risks, provide escalation to management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs vs technical constraints; Be passionate about delivering on-time solutions, and contributing to the development of high performing teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship. The Program Manager reports to the Advanced Electronics Manager and must be willing to manage a project team. Moreover, this position will require leadership in strategizing, executing, and maintaining all supporting activities to ensure successful completion of overall business and customer objectives.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with customer business units and assist with developing strategies to support ACST’s customers

  • Works with current and future customers to understand customer needs and their impact on future ACST planning and strategies

  • Leads, directs, influences and exercises expertise to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to programmatic and technical issues

  • Evaluate, drive and provide program management activities to manage and guide one or more project elements (initiation, planning, monitoring, controlling, closeout)

  • Develop and ensure technical requirements, schedules and cost targets are fully achieved

  • Responsible for the verification and follow up on the status of deliverables under open contracts and communication to appropriate stakeholders of changes

  • Interact and build robust relationships with customers and internal Strategic Business Units (SBUs)

  • Anticipate, create, maintain, and disseminate status roadmaps, and documentation to stakeholders

  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

  • Identifies issues and manages solutions in support of organizational level objectives and assigned program/projects

  • Coordinates between engineering team members and customer stakeholders in fulfillment of contract deliverables

    Basic Qualifications :

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must have Active Top Secret security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Scientific, Engineering or related field

  • 5 years’ of Project/Program Management experience

  • 5 years’ experience in business related activities and in managing projects and/or programs

  • 5 years’ experience leading multi-disciplined teams and processes

    Additional Qualifications :

  • Direct familiarity with on-site customer operations and activities

  • Experience in strategic planning

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

  • Self-motivated and results driven mentality with demonstrated ability to multi-task, analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in teams and one-on-one, displaying customer service actions, tact and diplomacy

  • Basic knowledge of rules and regulations governing accounts and cash management operations considered a plus

  • Ability to gain knowledge of customers, products, technologies and processes

  • Ability to work on issues across a range of disciplines including marketing, pricing, operations, technology and compliance/legal

  • PMP – Nice to have but not required.
