Procurement Specialist – 1 year contract
Roles and responsibilities
PO creation - needs to be taken from SAP and sent to suppliers via e-mail; chase order acknowledgements; feedback into the system & production planners to ensure continuity of supply. Amend orders based on changing schedules
Tactical Expediting - expediting deliveries & escalation of issues - Regular calls with suppliers on critical material shortages, follow up with delivery schedule line by line; communicate to business and escalate via Tiered accountability structure
-Communication with suppliers
-Bachelor Degree desirable (Economics/Engineering);
-Operational procurement experience
-Good understanding of basic procurement processes
-MS Office (particularly Excel) proficiency, basic functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables etc.
-Excellent communication skills
-Self-Starter, Team Player and disciplined approach to work
