JobDescription: Automation Expert

This Automation Expert will be a proactive member of the ITSelf Service team and will be responsible for automation strategies anddeliverables, including activities supporting security, workflow and processautomation, and automating activities that align with Honeywell best practicesin support of tools offered by the IT analytics team. This role will beintegral in driving contemporary, best-in-class solutions for Honeywellinternal analytics.

Thisrole’s responsibilities include –

  • Gathering automation requirements from IT analytics leadership representatives and business partners
  • Recommend automation solutions to fulfill requirements, including acquisition of necessary data, implementation of custom tools and automated processes, and inclusion of 3rdparty tools
  • Implement approved automation solutions
  • Coordinate automation solutions testing with peers and business partners
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement of automated tools and processes
  • Support Honeywell’s self-service analytics initiatives with automation

Basic Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field
  • At least 3 years’ experience with relational data design and data modeling
  • At least 3 years’ experience in automation and web-based tools development, leveraging the following

  • ASP.NET C#

  • JavaScript
  • SQL Server and / or PostgreSQL coding and data management

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional matrix environment
  • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Change agent: Ability to anticipate and execute action plans to proactively manage and drive change in an organization
  • Strong Coaching and Influencing Skills: Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and influence without formal authority. Engage enterprise wide support for key business priorities
