Honeywell Field Service Engineer (Application) in Singapore


o Meet Honeywell customers to understand new requirements for Honeywell custom applications like iFacility, REACH, Maintenance Mate and TEBA, communicate with software team to propose a solution to meet customer need. o Develop software programs, conduct unit tests, system integration test and assist in documentation works. o Assist service team in application/interface installation, configuration, testing and handover during project commissioning stage. o Conduct user acceptance test with customers and provide application training to end users. o Visit Honeywell customer site to understand issues with Honeywell custom applications and resolve the issue in a timely manner. o Analyze the system logs and initiate necessary measures to ensure high availability of the system at customer site. o Closely work with site service engineers to ensure custom applications are functioning satisfactorily at customer site. o Ensure reported application issues are logged and tracked till its closure o Provide system administrative support, engineering, programming support for applications and interfaces deployed with Honeywell EBI, DVM and other systems at customer site. o Carryout simulation and test for real jobs on test environment for assigned systems o Support installation of application software on customer location remotely as and when required. o Support troubleshooting of application software at customer locations, first level technical assistance against any software bugs encountered while installation, testing and commissioning at site. o Carry out schedule and routine maintenance tasks for custom applications and interfaces o Participate and provide software solution and presentation to customer, consultant and main contractors.
  • A diploma/degree in Computer engineering/technology
  • 2-3 years programming experience in C#, C/C , ASP.NET and other web technologies on Windows environment
  • Knowledge and prior experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database is essential
  • Hands-on experience with configuration, implementation and administration on Systems/ Servers, application and network devices ,IT infrastructure design and architecture across multiple distributed computing technologies - including server hardware and network
  • Working knowledge on Network components like Switches, Routers and Firewalls are advantageous
  • Operational analysis experience, i.e. the ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about the issues and recognize trends/ possible cause-effect relationships
  • The ability to handle emergency situations in the best possible manner and advise on how to avoid operational hindrance during system failures
  • The ability to mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans/ control mechanisms to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments
