Honeywell Resident Manager in India
The Resident Manager (RM) will functionally report to a Project Manager (PM) on an assigned project and is directly accountable for providing project leadership at SITE. Expectations of a RM are:
i.to work directly with UOP’s PM and with selected contractor to develop a project-specific execution plan
ii.to address technical questions (OR to obtain answers from the design office) and to relay them to the team at SITE
iii.to ensure that UOP field-safety procedures are implemented at SITE with respect to UOP’s personnel
iv.to develop corrective action plans (as required) to ensure successful achievement of project cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives
v.to set-up temporary Office at SITE; that is,
üto establish and to maintain communication infrastructure (voice and data)
üto establish and to maintain the latest engineering deliverables at SITE including project drawings, vendor data etc
üto establish and to maintain a SITE progress and inspection tracking system
vi.to monitor and to report progress at SITE during intervals, as agreed, with a PM
üto report project metrics like S-curve, discipline-wise progress etc
üto forecast/ identify problems (e.g. cost overruns, schedule delays, technical, contractual etc)
üto support required project closeout procedures/ activities as related to SITE
vii.to advise need for UOP discipline specialists at SITE and to co-ordinate facilities at SITE to support the activities of these engineers so as to ensure effective use of their time while at SITE
viii.to engage with third party inspection agencies as contracted by UOP with respect to services at SITE including assessing its performance
ix.to co-ordinate with PM including engagement with customer team for visits to SITE
x.to create INSTALLATION Package (R080) by co-ordinating with UOP’s team and with team of module fabrication/ manufacture shop etc
xi.to provide one-on-one training to new resident engineers and equipment specialists that visit SITE
·bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Structural.
·>11-14 years of experience at SITE for projects focused on mechanical equipment, packaged systems, modular processing units etc prevalent in petroleum refining, petrochemical and/or gas processing industries.
·strong oral and written communications skills
·ability to work effectively within a team based environment
·ability to travel domestically/ internationally up to 100% annually as a bachelor status
