HSE Director Smart Energy

As the HBT Health, Safety & Environmental Director for Smart Energy you will be responsible for supporting the HBT VP Lean Excellence in the execution of the HBT HSE Vision and Strategy, by deploying the HSE Management System and related strategies, initiatives and programs for all Smart Energy (SE) sites globally with more direct oversight within Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Key responsibilities:

  • To be the primary focal point for the Smart Energy global business and will need to work with the other HBT HSE Directors (both manufacturing and field service), the HBT Center of Excellence (COEs), and AHMs in the One Honeywell geographic regions to provide timely information to the business leadership
  • To develop & deploy the HBT HSE Vision and Strategy across the Smart Energy Business by utilising the HSE Management systems
  • Partner with the HBT HSE Global team and the One Honeywell Area HSE Managers (AHM) to drive HSE compliance & performance at the Smart Energy facilities across the regions
  • Provide direction, oversight and guidance for all aspects of HSE at all Smart Energy locations. This includes HBT HSE initiatives, Honeywell Management System Standards, as well as locally appropriate HSE regulatory compliance
  • Conduct regular HSE visits to all the EMEA locations as per the agreed schedule. Site visits and ongoing support will beconducted in accordance with standard work
  • To be responsible for 13 manufacturing locations & 30 office & field locations in EMEA.

Key requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Science or a related field is required.
  • Deep understanding of the Honeywell Operating System (HOS).
  • Solid level of business acumen, able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the integrated relationships of the HSE functions and COEs across HBT businesses with ISC sites within the region.
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English, other languages preferred.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in HSE or a related field, demonstrating progressive leadership in a multi site environment
  • Knowledgeable about HSE regulations and trends.
  • HSE Management Systems experience.
  • HSE compliance and systems auditing experience is required.
  • Strong aptitude for computer applications and database systems; able, and interested, to learn new technologies quickly.
