The Pneumatic Systems organization within the Mechanical Center of Excellence (MCOE) has an opening for a talented Project Engineer with a product development background. This opening is in the Engine Valves Engineering group in Tempe, Arizona.

Candidates with aircraft systems, turbine engine and/or related mechanical component experience are desired as we strive to develop innovative products for our customers that exceed their expectations. Position Responsibilities: - The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Engineering design and development tasks and coordinating the activities of support organizations in pneumatic valve product realization and/or fielded product improvement activities. - Coordinate cross-functional teams through the design, development, and qualification process to arrive at solutions that satisfy requirements of both internal and external customers. - Organize and define development and qualification test objectives and procedures based on specified requirements for new designs and/or design improvements to existing valves. - Coordinate development/qualification test activities, including test setups, actual testing, analyzing test data, and documenting test results. - Interface with suppliers, internal customers, and external customers to achieve program objectives. - Manages program schedule and budgets along with engineering resources to solve new product development issues and/or improve existing product designs.

Must Have: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering - Minimum 5 years of engineering experience. - Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Able to communicate ideas effectively and leverage networks to realize potential solutions - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong technical and business relationships with suppliers, customers, and co-workers. - Proficient use of project planning, status, and communication tools (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint).
