Honeywell Sr Technical Sales Manager in Phoenix, Arizona
This sales position requires extensive breadth and depth of experience with our avionics products for business and general aviation (BGA) aircraft. This position combines internal and customer-facing sales activities with a particular focus on Aftermarket Sales (RMU products and services). Typical responsibilities include support for direct aftermarket sales to our Dealers and Channel Partner network. The Commercial Aviation Technical Sales team also supports trade shows, develops compelling sales collateral and participates in direct selling activities.
Duties Required: • Develop persuasive product value propositions targeted to Aftermarket customers • Be the technical expert for our aftermarket products – accurate, complete and clear information on time, every time • Present effective and convincing technical sales briefings to external customers • Provide best-in-class product sales training for internal and external sales personnel • Coordinate engineering activities in support of product and sales activities • Provide accurate and comprehensive sales collateral (sales bulletins, brochures, competitive and next-best alternative analyses, sales guides, videos, etc.)
YOU MUST HAVE: • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other relevant discipline • 10 years’ experience in engineering discipline, technical sales or marketing in commercial aviation
WE VALUE: • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships • Results-focused with successful record of accomplishments through skilled use of influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution • In-depth knowledge of Honeywell and competitor avionics and/or stacom products and technologies • Extensive knowledge of design, development, test, and cert requirements for avionics products • Extensive experience with Primus 1000, Primus 2000 and Primus EPIC cockpit systems • Working knowledge of aircraft systems that interface with avionics products, including FMS, SATCOM • Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements and future airspace mandates • Working knowledge of business jet and/or airline operations for pilots, operators and service personnel • Familiarity with CA OEM customers including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, Dassault, Textron, Pilatus and our aftermarket Channel Partners is desirable. • Strong skills in preparing and delivering effective presentations • Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers. Expect to demonstrate your ability in this area. • Professional presence and ability to communicate at all levels inside Honeywell and the industry • Experience in technical writing and preparation of proposals • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence in a cross-functional, matrixed-team environment • Ability to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally
