Lead Systems Engineer
Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell [SBG]. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the< fill in the blank>business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.
Apply engineer knowledge, tools, and principals to developsystems improvingfor
Design high tech systems to integrate homes to manage comfort, efficiency, cost.
Innovate and design systems to safely deploy military overseas.
Support propulsion control system bench and engine testing for system validation and certification.
Support the creation of test plans and test procedures and evaluate test data.
Support development and validation of control system logic.
Help create the related certification documentation necessary for FAA approval.
The candidate must focus on the importance of customer responsiveness, meeting program milestones
on schedule, and minimizing cost and cycle time while improving product quality.
YOU MUST HAVE
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Extensive propulsion engine experience
Advanced understanding of gas turbine engines. Ability to facilitate interpersonal relationships and team building with project and test cell personnel and support. Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts. Ability to promote customer satisfaction with capability to establish effective working relationships with internal customers, and test personnel. Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done. Demonstrated capability to lead control system testing or related work Interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. Take prudent risks, use appropriate assertiveness. Experience with digital control systems and logic development. Familiarity with DO-178 software development cycle and documentation
