USS is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to support our business with USPS as well as international Postal Services. As such, experience with USPS automation programs is a plus. You will work closely with the Program, Engineering, and Sales organizations during execution of ongoing programs, internal research and development efforts, and when bidding new opportunities.

You will:

Manage the technical/engineering team in support of ongoing postal programs. Provide oversight and be responsible for proper function and the on-time delivery and acceptance of solutions and systems. Proactively identify, monitor, and develop mitigation plans for risks to performance, cost, and schedule.

Coordinates the requirements, design, development, integration and validation of large/complex systems involving multiple subsystems and multi-disciplinary technologies. The goal is to ensure that the system is built with efficiency (minimize risk, rework) and will meet the requirement and expectations.

Understands the interactions and inter-dependencies between various subsystems and processes. Ensures that subsystems suppliers also understand these requirements, inter-dependencies, and interfaces with other subsystems to ensure that their subsystems can be efficiently integrated into the system and help meet the system expectations.

Develop and implement systems engineering practices and systems engineering based business processes.

You Must Have:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics & Control Automation, Systems Engineering or relevant discipline, with experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment.

· Demonstrated ability to manage a technically focused team.

· You work well in a team, and the individual initiative you bring will support the success of the team

· 10+ years proven experience in a similar position, preferably with experience supporting Postal Automation Programs.

· Good Knowledge of industrial equipment including controls - preferably in the Material Handling Industry

· Motivated and independent

· Excellent communicator to all levels of technical and management personnel

· Microsoft Office, 3D CAD, ERP (Oracle) desired, but not required

· Ability to understand Mechanical layouts, control systems, and control interfaces

· Requirements Analysis and exposure to various requirements analysis tools

· Microsoft Office, 3D CAD, ERP (Oracle) desired, but not required

· Ability to understand Mechanical layouts, control systems, and control interfaces

· Requirements Analysis and exposure to various requirements analysis tools

· Systems Modeling and exposure to Modeling tools using SysML

· Validation and Test plan development, execution coordination, knowledge and exposure to various relevant tools

· Defect Management and exposure to defect tracking tools.

· Project Management, Understand projects schedules, WBS, etc.
