Product Manufacturing Engineer II


  • Create, revise, review, and approve manufacturing work plans, manufacturing blueprints, tool & method sheet

  • Act as a single point of contact to resolve technical-related manufacturing problems and ensure a smooth flow of hardware through manufacturing operations to meet COE goals

  • Interface with teams to develop and drive effective RCCAs through Rapid Problem Solving process

  • Coordinate tooling design activity with outside suppliers and monitors progress to assure that the shop needs and cost targets are met

  • Engage and support HOS processes such as tiered accountability, standardized work, RPS, CI, and 5S

  • Review, revise, and write work instructions related to programming and manufacturing

  • Generate ideas for cost savings, quality improvements, and cycle time reduction opportunities. Manage projects and execute ideas to completion

  • Lean manufacturing

  • CNC manufacturing process development and improvement for multi-axis machines

  • CNC manufacturing fixture design for multi-axis machines

  • Interface with AME OPS and ISC team to:

    o Identify producibility issues & design improvement opportunities prior to production implementation

    o Create and improve manufacturing processes

    o Drive change utilizing the AME enabling tool suite (Yield, Complexity and DFM prediction tools)

    o Evaluate technical readiness for production using Manufacturing Readiness Level tools


  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or a technical related discipline, or in lieu of degree, 5 years of manufacturing experience along with a High School Diploma/GED WE VALUE

  • Demonstrate positive teamwork skills

  • Able to deal tactfully and confidently with internal, external customers and suppliers at all organizational levels

  • Possess knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance, and blueprint interpretation

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence in a matrix organization

  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Communications skills, including oral, written & presentation

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or DFSS certification preferred. Lean Expert or Black Belt certification

  • Computer skills including EXCEL, MS Project, and PowerPoint

  • CNC machining experience

  • Ceramic grinding/manufacturing experience

  • Edge software experience

  • AERO/PDM experience LOCATION
