Legal and Compliance Manager

Provide counsel to management within the company, coordinate with outside legal counsel and be expected to take on a more managerial role within the legal department. You will analyze and summarize complicated legal documents, including contracts; making suggestions for alterations of those documents. You will anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk.

Provide a high quality legal partnership to Honeywell leaders and human resources

Provide advice and act as an advocate on behalf of the company regarding legal issues

Strategically partner with senior leaders to ensure business transactions are complaint with the law

Job requirements:

Law degree and appropriate certifications and admissions

Significant experience with a major law firm and/or corporation with significant responsibilities in Africa

General corporate or commercial law experience

Developed negotiation and contract drafting skills

Strong intellectual capacity, good judgment and instincts and ability to lead different projects simultaneously

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, able to develop, motivate and influence others

A credible and customer focused business partner

A passion to succeed in a fast paced, global, sophisticated transactional practice

Unquestioned integrity and high personal standards of excellence

A proactive and continuous improvement mindset
