Honeywell Director of Product Management-Melville, NY in Melville, New York

As the HSF Director of Global Product Management – Video you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability for HSF Video offerings, defining and executing the overall product strategy and roadmap, defining and developing new offerings, managing pricing, planning and executing product launches, and managing the go to market and channel strategy of existing and new offerings.

You will be responsible for positioning HSF as the leading player in Video with differentiated offerings across regions and target segments. You will work closely with regional Marketing and global Engineering to execute on the roadmap, and will keep strong connection with key customers and industry stakeholders to anticipate trends and influence industry direction.

The position involves managing a global team of product management and close interaction with external customers, line of business GMs, regional marketing, engineering, sourcing, operations, and other functions. This position reports to the HSF Vice President of Global Product Management, Commercial.

Position Responsibilities:

Offering Development • Defines and executes global product line strategy; Provides comprehensive inputs & business goals to the STRAP/AOP/X-Matrix • Develops and executes a roadmap of global & regional offerings aligned to multi-brand/multi-channel strategy • Defines a comprehensive platform strategy to accelerate innovation and improve RD&E ROI, working closely with regional GMs and Engineering. Align with product marketing in GBEs to identify which features/products are part of global platform vs. regional or local tailoring • Leads the definition, development, and launch of innovative and differentiated product and service offerings and business models. Coordinates with marketing teams in GBEs to conduct VOC. Manages product lifecycle, including end of life. Leverages PAC process to drive cross functional engagement in development of new offerings. • Defines and executes a portfolio / SKU rationalization strategy and works with regional teams to implement it

Product Line Profitability • Responsible for growing the contribution margin/P&L for the product line and prioritizes investments to achieve growth and profitability targets • Defines “value pricing” for new offerings and drives the adoption of pricing best practices • Drives global platform strategy to achieve cost leadership

Product Launch & Demand Generation • Manages launches globally and works with regional GMs and GBE Marketing teams on go-to-market & forecast plans. Develops product line value propositions and work with regional teams to tailor • Works with Marcom and Customer Marketing to promote new offerings and create awareness with end-users and channels; Partners with Strategic Marketing and Sales to develop vertical markets playbook and end-user demand generation initiatives

Other • Organization: Builds a world-class product management team and capability • Partnerships: Defines an external partnership strategy and builds an eco-system of 3rd parties, including OEM / ODM suppliers and ISV partners • M&A: Provides input to business development roadmap and M&A targets • Competitive Intelligence: Owns competitive product benchmarking and consistently drives a mindset of differentiation and disruption in value creation for customers

Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or other engineering discipline • 7 years of relevant marketing / product management experience with world class organizations

• Track record of defining, developing, and taking to market complex products / systems and delivering outstanding growth and profitability in complex B2B environments • Proven experience to operate internationally • Experience in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively in a matrix environment • Excellent strategic, operational, and project management capabilities • Global mindset and cross-cultural sensitivity • Proven ability to build senior level executive relationships • Outstanding communication skills and ability to operate across countries, communicate and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries
