Overview:

To lead/implement-customized complex and/or standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. MMI, IT, Database Configuration), to successful completion and within budgeted time and cost constraints. Can technically coach an assistant

Responsibilities:

·Serve as an automation engineer for process control systems in the oil & gas industry.

·Implement projects engineering and addition/modification for Experion PKS control System, Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC), 3rd party and SCADA systems.

·Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.

·Perform Experion Servers set-up, software configuration and process control consoles under MS Windows operating systems and system integrations involving DCS (distributed control systems) equipment with 3rd party vendors.

·Provide control improvement and create/modify control strategies and implement new control routines (gas compression, oil separation and oil platform processes, and water recovery and utilities).

·Perform hardware and software integration and configure system instrument databases, control system custom HMI graphics and reports utilizing C200/C300, Experion PKS, Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC-5 and ControlLogix, process control networks including ControlNet, DeviceNet, Universal Control Network, Ethernet, Local Control Networks, wireless networks, and relational databases.

·Produces part(s) of total functional design specifications under supervision.

·Produces technical design specifications

·Executes work assignment to appropriate standards and quality systems (Implementation, Test & Documentation)

·Coaches and supports assigned engineer(s) to ensure they are able to meet the requirements of their work assignments.

·Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan.

·Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.

·Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group

·Reports progress and technical problems to project and engineering supervisor.

·Ability to meet the safety/security certification requirements to work in offshore facilities.

YOU MUST HAVE:

·Bachelor’s Degree, engineering preferred

WE VALUE:

·5+ years of project experience as Project Engineer working on DCS and PLC systems/ subsystems at advanced level

·3+ years customer interfacing experiences

·Configuration and development of process control strategies utilizing control narrative, cause & effects and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's).

·Experience performing loop checks, continuity tests, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, start-up support, and performance tests for process control systems.

·Experience with computer set-up and software configuration for process control consoles under MS Windows operating systems and system integrations involving DCS (distributed control systems) equipment with 3rd party vendors.

·Experion system and C300/200 Controllers installation and configuration, Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC-5 and ControlLogix, process control networks including ControlNet, DeviceNet, Universal Control Network, Ethernet, Local Control Networks, wireless networks, and relational databases.

·3rd party system interface with PLCs and other DCS systems using Industrial Network and automation protocol: RS-232 or RS-485 on Modbus or DF1 Protocol, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet IP, Profibus, OPC.

·Supervisory control & data acquisition systems (SCADA) and configuration of Programmable logic controllers (PLC's).

·Any past experience related to process control Automation for Subsea and Topside at Offshore platform is preferable.
