Honeywell is looking for a highly-qualified Staff Lead Systems Engineer to apply their knowledge of Systems Engineering protocols for unique R&D applications. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of Systems Engineering framework best practices relative to system(s) of system(s) across multiple technologies/disciplines such as Physics, Lasers, Optics, ultra-high vacuum systems, mechanical, and electrical while having the ability to partner with a research group of scientists and engineers to provide innovative techniques and approaches to specifically advance state-of-the-art development.
The ideal candidate will lead development of the necessary systems engineering best practices and framework by developing and utilizing system modeling tools and techniques required to facilitate requirement(s) development, capture, derivation, traceability, and documentation for state of the art complex multi-discipline system(s) of system(s) technology development.
Further, the ideal candidate will apply previous experience to work with stakeholders to lead CONOP development; perform alternative architecture analysis and definition; system and functional level architecture definition, modeling and analysis; and requirement development and traceability for research and development initiatives to foster execution with the goal of product realization in complex system level integration

YOU MUST HAVE
U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Extensive Systems Engineering background
Extensive requirements management experience, to include decomposition/derived, allocation, tracking, and traceability
Substantial CONOPS development experience
Substantial experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS and TeamCenter.
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Formal background in AMO physics and a proven track record with construction of systems applying fundamental physical phenomena.
Experience with laser systems, including diode lasers and optical cavities.
Experience working with high and ultra-high vacuum equipment.
Knowledge of control systems, signal processing, RF, analog, and digital systems.
Direct Line Management experience.
Strong organizational & leadership skills.
Working and negotiating with customers and partners.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
