Position Responsibilities: * • Responsible for quality in production testing and documentation. • Responsible for cost savings and annual productivity related to production test. • Design, develop, implement, and roll out site wide processes and tools to improve testing effectiveness and quality. Pioneer new test methodologies to deliver quality to our customers and factory productivity. • Complete analysis and develop justification of investments where necessary. • Select, install, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation and test equipment. • Design and support data acquisition systems. • Establish and utilize strong project management techniques to manage workload and priorities. Where necessary, lead external suppliers to cost effective and timely project completion. • Develop standard work or procedures for test processes and train engineers, technicians, and operators in production test processes. • Identify/use communication protocols (e.g. RS232, RS422, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, AFDX). Understand and direct changes to computer networks in support of test systems. • Interpret and generate electrical/electronic drawings, work instructions, test procedures, and quality standards. • Develop, Evaluate, Commission and Maintain Labview based test and automation programs. These also involve being able to understand and use various databases that these test systems link with • Mentor and develop other engineers in test system development and maintenance. • Exercise knowledge of existing test capabilities to determine whether new or special requirements can be made to adapt to current test equipment. • Work with Design Engineering to review new product specifications and develop production test programs and project cost proposals, including equipment, fixtures, and test equipment development schedules. • Determine if gage R&R studies should be made to current and new equipment and carries out those studies as needed. • Conform to all safety and HSE requirements in order to maintain a safe working environment. • Manage revision controls to test systems and software.
Basic Candidate Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree in Engineering • 5 years of experience maintaining test systems that run on LabView to test electromechanical assemblies.
• 5 years of experience leading development of test systems that incorporates analog and digital electronics including, LabView.
