Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell’s PMT Engineering organization. You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for development, implementation and support of contract management for PMT Engineering. You will lead a team in educating the engineering staff on the different contracting strategies and will support them in the selection and management of appropriate contracts based on project type and scope maturity.

Responsibilities:

•Lead the creation of new standards, procedures and operating systems to create an owner based contract management process and overarching contract management guidance.

•Work with technical writers to create new templates for tracking contracts and contractor performance for Engineering, Material, Fabrication and Construction contracts.

•Provide training to Honeywell engineering staff on proper contract administration after award after procedures are completed.

•Develop scalable contracting methods and templates for both large and small cap projects.

•Develop evaluation tools to outline what contracting strategy is appropriate for varying project size and complexity for Engineering, Material, Fabrication and Construction contracts.

•Survey other EPC firms to understand what they are using for contracting methods and suggest best practices for Honeywell.

•Consult on various capital projects to provide claims avoidance and mitigation strategies before and after contract award.

•Manage various project deliverables (identified scopes of work) through various contract engineering companies

•Partner with Procurement team in negotiation of commercial terms with engineering partners and other parties involved in bids, to uphold positions for Honeywell that are in line with Honeywell's policies, code of conduct and business practices

•Serve as the single point of contact for all contractual issues and commercial risks, managing contracts that cross multiple engineering companies

•Prepare and support contractual agreements, proposals, negotiations, formal correspondence, audits and administration

•Establish the processes and metrics necessary to meet the goals of each project, and providing update reports of progress / issues / barriers

•Responsible for project scope change management, with changes being quoted, negotiated, and timely communication to project team

•Interface with the various engineering firms on technical and non-technical matters from the requirements phase through delivery; Build and maintain good relationships with our engineering company partners

•Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and overall goals of the project; Adhere to escalation process to meet the project objectives of schedule, cost and quality

•Provide strong leadership, business acumen, strategic perspective and effective decision making processes, in support of key programs

•Maintain skillful application of standard work processes (functional excellence), including Capital Project Management Process, engineering design standards, engineering operating procedures, value engineering, etc

•Maintain excellent people and project management skills - coaching, motivating, team building and enhancing the success of High Performing Teams

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

WE VALUE

In depth knowledge of industry accepted Project Management methodologies (techniques, scope management, communications, and risk management) with respect to delivery of projects within cost and time constraints strongly preferred

Experience in the management of financial budgets, projects, troubleshooting, team building, and overall leadership sought

Ability to interact, direct and influence cross-functional teams

Proven success working in a fast-paced, goal oriented, deadline driven environment

Significant experience managing cost plus, EPC & EPCm contracts
