Job Description

This position plays a key role in Honeywell's Software Compliance/Software Asset Management Program. It reports into the Honeywell Software Compliance Team Lead and is part of the User and Functional Enablement Team. This role’s primary focus will be in supporting Honeywell’s Home and Building Technologies Strategic Business Group.

Key responsibilities include:

-Ensuring proactive software compliance by continuously monitoring installs and licensing information and working with software asset owners to close detected compliance gaps as they occur;

-Developing, executing, and analyzing software compliance based reports in order to determine software license positions as well as identify areas for cost savings;

-Maximizing software usage by continuously monitoring software utilization and reclaiming unused software for reuse within the enterprise;

-Creating, developing and deploying software compliance/software asset management standards, procedures and work instructions ensuring standardization and alignment across the Honeywell Enterprise;

-Communicating with as well as training and educating Honeywell team members in the use of software compliance/software asset management related tools, procedures, work instructions, processes and standards;

-Duties specific to HBT will include developing strategies for rationalizing it’s software portfolio, the development of software bundles in support of business functions, review and approval of non-standard software, analysis and replacement strategy for software reaching end of life (eol), and the analysis of desktop admin rights.

-Helping to expand Honeywell Software Compliance scope beyond desktop software to include server applications, engineering products, and databases;

-Creating, developing, and reporting critical software compliance metrics, including key performance indicators; and

-Supporting other Honeywell teams as required in support of their efforts to remain compliant.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

-B.S. degree in Business, IT or related field required; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred;

-Software Asset Management and/or Software Compliance related experience strongly desired;

-5-7+ years related work experience in large business IT environment;

-Previous experience with being a member of high performing cross-functional/cross-organizational teams strongly desired;

-Certification as a IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) strongly desired;

-Six Sigma Green Belt (GB) certification desired, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certification strongly preferred, Blackbelt/Lean Expert and/or other advanced Six Sigma training a plus.

-Demonstrated ability to effectively work as a member of a global, virtual team that delivers multiple projects and services;

-Strong process orientation. Ability to bring structure to a broadly defined problem or need;

-Excellent oral and written communication skills including excellent presentation skills;

-Experience with working/communicating with multiple functional teams;

-Self-motivated, results oriented, customer focused with strong bias for action;

-Flexible, adaptable and resilient in the face of change, as well as, resourceful during periods of high workload demands;

-Global Mindset and experience working with multiple regions and time zones required. Time zone compatibility/flexibility to communicate with internal partners; and

-Familiarization with the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) a plus.
