Honeywell NPI Commodity Manager in Brno, Czech Republic

• Supply Chain coordination for the introduction of new products from prototype to volume production. • To control and manage the purchase of materials to ensure customer requirements are met. • Develop professional supply relationships internally and externally to continuously improve cost, quality and continuity of supply. • To develop standard operational procedures to improve supply chain performance. • Source material to preferred supplier base and align the best fit suppliers for business at the same time balancing department targets. • Work with the global commodity-specific Category Manager to locate new suppliers as necessary. • Set up automated communication methods (portal and stocking program or consignment programs). • Quote multiple preferred suppliers to support SOX compliance competitively. • Facilitate technical discussions with the supplier and align discussions with the Supplier Engineers. • Involve the commodity-specific Supplier Engineer for critical components and coordinate Design for Manufacturability and completing the Production part approval process to insure quality parts. • Communicate all requirements to the suppliers and solicit feedback. • Align Honeywell working capital goals driving suppliers to net 75 or above payment terms.

• A clear communicator with excellent negotiation skills. • Project management and organization skills. • Excellent teaming abilities. • Strong production background (electronic engineering background preferred). • Experience in a purchasing/material control role backed up by strong commodity knowledge. • Experience with aligning customer needs with the supply base regarding new products. • Understanding of lean logistics philosophies and tools. • Good numerical and analytical skills. • Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrixed organizational environment. • Ability to work unsupervised, act on own initiative and take decisions.
