Taxonomy Administration Specialist

The Enterprise Search Administrator is a pivotal role within

the Enterprise DEx team as it will ensure that content publishing adheres to

the Digital Workplace (DWP) Content Governance Guidelines, optimizes published

content to aid better search results and function as a focal for improving

search indexes and results across the DWP and DEx supported platforms and

applications.

This role will act at the internal subject matter expert

with focus on the build, implementation, governance and administration of the

Enterprise Taxonomy supporting the delivering the initial Basic Enterprise

Taxonomy and future enhancements to that taxonomy for the Honeywell Digital

Employee Experience program. Key focus of the role will be the delivery of

improved user satisfaction with Enterprise Search results and the metadata

development and tagging needed to support content personalization of

Honeywell’s new Digital WorkPlace. The Search Administrator will be responsible

for working with the various functions and Strategic Business Groups across

Honeywell to define and maintain their taxonomies and then work with the

Taxonomy Management System to deploy the taxonomy across Honeywell SharePoint

CMS and Enterprise Search platforms. The Taxonomy Science and Administration

Specialist will need to enforce the management of taxonomy and ontology

standards, develop a taxonomy and ontology change management system and work

with stakeholders to improve information management practices for Digital

WorkPlace content and data. This role will also work closely with the Digital

Workplace Content Management team to develop the metadata strategy and

requirements, and implement the enhancements needed to ensure the success of

content personalization within the Digital WorkPlace.

Additionally the Enterprise Search Administrator will work

closely with the Solutions Architecture team in the creation of the Taxonomy

strategy and roadmap to ensure Honeywell’s Digital Employee Experience

requirements can be met. The Search Administrator will also work with other

Honeywell teams including IT, Data Governance, Data Loss Prevention and Data

Privacy as may be needed to ensure global compliance with content governance

policies and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Improving

Enterprise Search relevance by daily analysis of search metrics and ongoing

administration

and configuration of the tools in the Search ecosystem to

provide more relevant search results for end

users.

• Day to

day administration and management of Honeywell’s taxonomy management tools

• Day to

day administration and management for Enterprise Search result strategies and

tactics

• Establish

and execute a Management Operating System (MOS) processes and procedures for

the

ongoing governance, management and maintenance of the enterprise

Taxonomy.

• Work

directly with DWP Solutions Specialists and Solutions Architects to provide

subject matter expertise

in the planning and execution of Content Management and

Enterprise Search related projects and

enhancements.

• Interact

with representatives from Honeywell Functions and Strategic Business Groups

across the globe

to develop and execute the Enterprise Taxonomy and

enhancements for the SharePoint CMS

• Work

directly with the Enterprise Search Services team as their Subject Matter

Expert in the creation,

implementation and administration of the Enterprise Taxonomy

and Search result strategies.

• Learn the

Digital Employee Experience Taxonomy Management and Enterprise Search tools and

become

the Digital Employee Experiences internal subject matter

expert on both.

• Assist

DEX leadership in establishing goals and key performance indicators for search

and content

management taxonomy utilization and governance. Produce and

review periodic reports with leadership.

• Identify,

socialize, prioritize and execute changes and enhancements to the taxonomy or

ontology to help

improve employee satisfaction with search results relevance

and personalized content.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s

degree in information technology or systems engineering, with specific

expertise in Taxonomy

Management, Content Management and Search strategies and

platforms.

• Minimum

4-6 years of experience working in a knowledge management, taxonomy management

or

ontology management role.

• TS, ITP,

MCSE or other MS certifications are a plus

• Excellent
